podpredsednica Evropske komisije, Kaja Kallas
Spoštovana gospa Kaja Kallas,
preživeli smo krvave vojne na Balkanu. Aktivne ženske smo poskušale preprečiti pokol, a nam ni uspelo. Še vedno trpimo zaradi sovraštva, žalosti, stiske in pomanjkanja demokracije, gospodarskega napredka in stabilnosti.
Zaščitite in osvobodite mirovnike humanitarne flote v Gazi!
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy
and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas
Dear High Representative, Kaja Kallas,
We have lived through bloody wars in the Balkans. We, as active women, tried to prevent the massacre, but we failed. We are still suffering from hatred, grief, hardship, and a lack of democracy, economic progress, and stability. These are the serious consequences of the slow response of those who could have reacted much more quickly. The cemetery of genocide victims in Srebrenica is the saddest proof of this. The EU has an opportunity here to affirm its values of peace and respect for the international legal order.
Protect and free the peacekeepers of the humanitarian flotilla in Gaza!
Help force Israel to allow flour, medicine, and water filters into Gaza through a protected corridor. The international community must make it clear to Israeli leaders that attacking a peaceful humanitarian mission and kidnapping civilians is a barbaric act that the international community rejects and will punish. The European Union must set an example! It is time to tell Israeli leaders that they must immediately stop the genocide in Gaza!
Please remember that you represent all women who are fighting for peace, equality, freedom, and justice throughout the EU. And believe me, there are many of us, and our outrage is growing.
Yours sincerely, Sonja Lokar, President of the Women's Lobby of Slovenia
